Welcome to the era of edible art, where the game of, “Is it real or is it fake?” is having a moment.

Japanese designer Daisuke (aka @dimda_ on Instagram,) is flipping the script on food as we know it. He partnered with J. Crew for its epic butter yellow drop, crafting tiny accessories in dumpling form and has since done collabs with brands ranging from Puma to Starface to Hermes.

Moschino’s Fall 2025 collection featured models walking the runway with a realistic spaghetti clutch that had everyone doing a double take. The brand also partnered with Pepperidge Farms creating a limited-edition clutch that mirrors an actual snack pouch—complete with a barcode and a glossy image of the newest lemon white chocolate flavor.

Anthropologie joined in the fun with an “Is it real or is it fake?” campaign for their new spring “Farmstand Fresh” collection and who can forget Kate Spade’s epic partnership with Heinz and the ketchup packet purse.

If you’ve been on TikTok lately, you’ve definitely scrolled past Tu Cha in Los Angeles, a new dessert spot turning fruit into art with sweets that look like they belong in a museum, not on your plate. Speaking of viral eats, Charleston Chef Cynthia Wong’s Life Raft Treats serves Not Fried Chicken, a treat that’s ice cream disguised as crispy drumsticks.

Food or faux? Don't mind if we chew.
