Are you ready for it? Mardi Gras and the Super Bowl are both coming to New Orleans this year, which means it's time to grab your krewe, break out the sequins and get ready to party.

Known for its vibrant music scene, Creole and Cajun fare and, of course, the legendary, months long party that is Mardi Gras, what's not to love? Throw in the Chiefs and Eagles battling for victory at the Super Bowl and there may not be a better time to visit this Southern city in a class of its own. With that in mind, we tapped Kelsey Campion, Chief Sequin Officer of Fringe + Co., to give us the goods.

Fringe + Co., started by Campion in a tiny 200-square-foot bedroom eight years ago, has flourished into a bold, joy-filled fashion and lifestyle company built on the belief that life is better with glitter. Sequined designs, handmade right in the heart of NOLA, celebrate individuality, community and unapologetic self-expression. Every stitch is inspired by the city’s electric energy.

Campion and her team are also die-hard Swifties, celebrated for their epic pre-show activations that bring Taylor’s eras to life. Need a viral tinsel jacket? Fringe + Co. has you covered. And with the Chiefs in town for the Super Bowl on Feb. 9, there’s a good chance Fringe + Co. will have another TNT (Taylor 'n' Travis, duh) moment.

Whether you’re gearing up for Mardi Gras or the Super Bowl (or both!), who better to be your guide than this New Orleans local who lives for sparkle?

In the heart of the French Quarter, Sylvain has the cutest courtyard and one of the BEST burgers in the city.

This quaint French café has an amazing patio and an even more amazing French menu. I highly recommend the French onion soup and the mussels, they never disappoint.

Located right next to the bayou, this spot has my favorite fried shrimp po-boy and delicious banana pudding. The perfect spot to grab a po-boy and sit by the bayou.

Molly's Rise and Shine

Looking for a delicious breakfast in a super funky spot? This sister restaurant to Turkey and the Wolf (another absolute MUST) always has me coming back for the carrot yogurt (trust me it's delicious) and the grand slam McMuffin. If they have their homemade pop-tarts on the menu, don't think twice!

Cochon

Delicious Cajun southern cooking made with locally sourced pork and produce make for a delicious and hearty menu.
