Bria Hammel’s Guide to Minneapolis, MN
Nancy Meyers style meets Midwest charm when Bria Hammel shares her local faves.

With the Nancy Meyers aesthetic dominating TikTok and Zillow holding strong as everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure, it’s no surprise the interior design biz is booming.
Enter, Bria Hammel, the Minnesota-based interior designer who leads an all-woman squad at her eponymous firm Bria Hammel Interiors to transform houses into homes you actually want to live in. Think classic vibes with a modern twist — her work feels like your Pinterest board came to life, but without trying too hard.

Before starting her firm, Hammel quickly climbed the ladder at Ethan Allen and Thomasville Furniture managing 16 designers by the time she was 25 years old. Oh, and Hammel casually started her business while nine months pregnant. Now, her team handles everything from dreamy remodels to new builds, crafting rooms through a thoughtful lens that are filled with unexpected moments of surprise.

In 2018, Hammel took things to the next level with Brooke & Lou, a furniture and décor brand serving up “livable luxury.” Translation: chic, comfy pieces you can really use. If you’re ever in Edina, Minnesota, swing by the flagship store — it’s like stepping into the ultimate interior inspo board IRL. Edina, a cozy suburb just outside Minneapolis, is where Hammel calls home — but her go-to spots are right in the heart of the city.
