This isn’t your great-grandpa’s motor lodge. While The Springs still nods to its Old West roots, the historic hotel was overdue for a glow-up. Built around the legendary Mother Spring — a thousand-foot-deep natural wonder bubbling with mineral-rich magic — the resort is doubling down this April with a massive expansion: 78 shiny new rooms and 27 additional soaking pools. That’s over two dozen fresh excuses to throw on a swimsuit and forget what day it is.
You’ll find steaming pools tucked into travertine terraces, scattered along the San Juan River like little cerulean secrets. Temps range from a chill 45 to a toasty 114 degrees. Some are family-friendly. Others are 18+ 😉. One requires crossing a rope bridge to get to — Indiana Jones, but with a pool.
When you're ready to take your R&R to the next level, hit the resort’s sleek new two-story spa. Book a magnesium body wrap, zen out in the panoramic sauna or try mud painting in the studio upstairs.
