This Historic Atlanta Hotel Is Our Favorite Midtown Hideaway
The Hotel Granada is home to multiple bars, courtyards and all-day dining.
Welcome to Book It, our monthly look at a buzzy new hotel or resort we're excited about.
European elegance and charming courtyards might not be the first things that come to mind when you think of Midtown Atlanta, but the Hotel Granada is looking to change that – one cocktail at a time.
Whether you're heading to the A for work, a wedding or just because people keep telling you how cool it is now, make sure to keep Hotel Granada in mind. Here's everything you need to know about the historic property, including what to pack for your next trip to Atlanta.
What to Know
The latest project from the highly-regarded Aparium Hotel Group – the same people behind the beloved Detroit Foundation Hotel and Minneapolis’ Hewing Hotel – this unique 101-year-old, Spanish Colonial-inspired property underwent a complete two-year transformation.
Besides remodeling all 120 beautiful rooms, they added Pom Court, a charming open-air courtyard restaurant with all-day dining and plenty of cocktail options. After a long day of meetings, taking in the sights or just finishing a run through nearby Piedmont Park, it’s the perfect place to decompress under a café umbrella and the canopy of Crepe Myrtle trees.
If you’d prefer to enjoy a martini or Negroni inside instead, there’s a second, more intimate cocktail bar located beneath the historic building. While we love drinking outside just as much as anyone, this is a great place to avoiding thinking about tomorrow’s presentation or wedding toast while you enjoy a well-made drink (or two).
Rates at Hotel Granada start at $194 per night and you can book your next stay here here.
