Known for its pink sand beaches, warm waters and those ubiquitous pants, Bermuda has been on our 'short' list for a while.

With a prominent role in last season’s scandalous SLC Real Housewives finale and as Charlotte and Trey’s ill-fated honeymoon destination, Bermuda has sort of settled itself into pop culture lexicon as a combo of sophisticated chic and bohemian island get away. But, there wasn’t really a hotel that matched the vibe. Until now.

Originally opened in 1923, Cambridge Beaches is an authentic Bermudian cottage-style resort that has been completely reimagined. Set on a 23-acre peninsula surrounded by ocean and bay waters, the hotel is the first of its kind on the island made up of unique, freestanding cottages positioned along the coast for maximum privacy and unparalleled ocean views and access.

Led by hospitality group Dovetail + Co, known for their work with Wayfinder Waikiki and Urban Cowboy Lodge, Cambridge Beaches tasked interior designer Kellyann Hee of Hee Designs (formerly of Soho House) and Paris-based Saint-Lazare to bring a new, refined perspective to the property.

"Much of the inspiration for the design of Cambridge Beaches came from the chic homes in the Caribbean islands," says Hee. "They have this fresh, vibrant feel that comes from perfectly imperfect combinations of colors, patterns, and shapes that are in harmony with their natural environments – playful, elevated, but not too serious – this is the vibe we were after."

"To recreate the look at home, pull together a mix of island-friendly natural materials using a neutral base of whites and light tans that create an excellent backdrop for pops of brighter blues, teals, corals, yellows, pinks, and oranges."
