They’re all packed with terrifying stories of paranormal occurrences and, with haunted tourism on the rise, are also bringing in big bucks. It’s a highly lucrative industry (pop off, ghost of Marilyn Monroe!) and with hotels spanning the country from New England to the Southwest, these hot spots come with hair-raising (and some downright cool) rooms with a ‘boo.’

Hotel Parq Central (Albuquerque, NM)
This cozy Beaux Arts hotel was formerly a psychiatric hospital – and some patrons have met the patients first-hand. “The hotel is very haunted, and we experienced some paranormal activity during our stay. We were supposed to stay for two nights but left after the first night due to us barely sleeping,” read one review from Hotels.com.

Tucked in the heart of Nola’s French Quarter, this luxury spot has seen its fair share of ghostly activity. “Book 305 and maybe you will see the little girl my husband woke up to see. [He] woke up to getting poked on his feet and saw a little girl standing by the bed,” read one review from Hotels.com.

The ghost of a woman named Annalisa reportedly haunts the Read House Hotel’s room 311. Guests, including TikToker @Aimie_Perino have shared chilling stories of their stays. “The TV turned on by itself. I hope it’s a good spirit!” she said in a video.

This iconic L.A. hotel is where pop culture meets the paranormal. Guests have reported seeing Marilyn Monroe’s ghost in the mirror of one room.
