Beauty brands are serving this season – literally.
Turns out, things are just more delightful on a silver platter.
It seems like beauty brands agree, serving holiday offerings using dishes, gold trays and silver platters to make things just a little bit extra this season. Our favorite trendspotter, @peoplebrandsandthings, alerted us to the fact that beauty brands like Ilia, Crown Affair and Refy presented holiday sales and offerings “with visuals that literally feature various plates adorned with their products.”
While the intersection of beauty and food might seem like an unlikely pairing, we’ve been seeing more and more brands embrace the synergy. According to CNN, “Food-inspired collections have come to dominate runways over the last decade.” We’ve seen brands like Benefit introduce entire collections based on groceries, Karl Lagerfeld presented a Chanel-branded supermarket fashion show and most recently, Native, the beauty brand offering daily staples like deodorant, body wash, hair care, and lotion, partnered with Jarritos on a line of tropical scented products.
