J. Crew is celebrating everyone’s favorite “carb” by declaring "butter yellow" its new color crush.

Sharing on the site, “the soft shade you’re seeing everywhere is quickly becoming our favorite neutral,” the brand has taken its adoration of all things butter to the next level by upping their partner game again and collaborating with several well-known artists and tastemakers to give the hue its due.

Japanese artist and designer, Daisuke, known as @dimda_ on Instagram, created an unexpected take on J. Crew’s butter yellow accessories with his “freshly-steamed” butter yellow favorites in the form of dim sum. Daisuke, who has become a prominent figure in the world of food art, has amassed a significant following on Instagram and TikTok for his talent recreating everyday items into innovative pieces of art made from food.

Nailing the next collab, celebrity manicurist @betina_goldstein gives her take on the brand’s buttery soft cashmere with adorable butter pat nail art. Goldstein, a Los Angeles-based manicurist, says she “found her true calling with her ability to create intricate art on a tiny canvas.” With celebrity clientele including Zoe Kravitz, Rosamund Pike and Gemma Chan, her work can be seen in the pages of Vogue, as well as in campaigns for brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Nike, Levis and many more.

The last – but certainly not least – take on all things butter comes in the form of the recreation of the brand’s Edie bag, but carved from Kerrygold butter. The tasteful and tasty recreation, shaped and carved from pure butter, baby, proves that “whether it’s sculpted from butter or crafted in Italian leather, the new Edie bag is a work of art.”
