If you’re feeling like espresso and latte and cream are suddenly everywhere, you’re not wrong. Turns out, "cafécore," aka latte fashion, has fully entered the mainstream. A trend spotted on runways late last year, latte fashion – when an outfit is comprised of head-to-toe coffee shades – has its roots on TikTok, reviving the kind of tan foundation and copious bronzer that saturated the early noughties, according to The Guardian. “It’s warm, milky and effortless”, was how #BeautyTok personality Rachel Rigler described the term she coined and the look she helped re-popularize.
To confirm this trend is brewing, Pinterest Predicts for 2024 says, “Bar carts, be gone. At-home coffee stations will become the new way to espresso yourself. Boomers and Gen X will bring the coffee shop vibe inside, searching for everything from "cafe chalkboard" aesthetic and "coffee station decor" to "coffee bar styling." WWD reports, “Pantone’s Fashion Color Trend Report for Spring 2025 features two variations of browns on the Top 10 list — Bran and the more beige Cocoon — as well as Antique White."
Most recently, Away, the popular luggage brand that remains on ‘Best of’ lists for even the most seasoned traveler, introduced its limited edition Café Collection, “inspired by the rich hues and textures of cafés around the world.”
