Terrazzo is Twinning
A new take on 70s inspired tile has us seeing double.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, it's been hard to miss the matching set phenomenon dominating the fashion scene.
And no, we’re not talking JT and Britney’s matching denim numbers at the American Music Awards. Think matching solid or printed tops and bottom.

According to WWD, "Elevated sets uphold the pulled-together look suit without the formality or weight of one." Retailers have seen major traction from the twofer trend, with Revolve’s chief merchandising officer, Divya Mathur, saying, “Year after year, we’ve observed a growing trend in matching sets, with 2024 marking our highest sales in this category.”
One of Pinterest Predict’s trends for 2025 is Seeing Double, saying, “Besties don't copy—they match. This year, coordinated fits will be the topic du jour in the group chat.“ Turns out, this trend doesn’t only apply to fashion.

We did a double take when we saw Zia Tile’s recent ad campaign for its new line of terrazzo tiles packaged like cold cuts. We’ve been staunch fans of terrazzo, fully embracing the 70s inspired tiles as they made their way back into the mainstream.
So, we couldn’t help but wonder: how else is terrazzo twinning in this new age of seeing double?
