Ever since the world lost Anthony Bourdain in 2018, we’ve been looking for a show to fill the void left by Parts Unknown (and No Reservations before that).

Sure, we’ve had standouts like Chef’s Table and Samin Nosrat’s SALT FAT ACID HEAT, and Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy has its charms. Heck, The Bear definitely pays homage to the world Bourdain introduced many people to, but it’s been a while since we’ve had something with the scope of Apple TV+’s new docuseries, Omnivore.

Created and narrated by legendary Noma chef René Redzepi, Omnivore looks at the cultivation and significance of individual ingredients from around the world with each episode focusing on a different location, including Bali, Colombia, Denmark, Djibouti and Thailand, as well as locations throughout the United States.

All eight episodes of the series are available on Apple TV+ and you can watch the trailer here as a quick appetizer.
