It’s tiiiiiiime. For spooky season, that is.

Yes, we know it’s only September, but that just means we’re already behind. Anthropologie just dropped its holiday preview, so time to wake the undead and get the scariest season of all underway.

To celebrate, we’re taking inspo from Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, the new sequel to the original Halloween blockbuster, Beetlejuice, that opens today. A brief synopsis tells us, “After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her teenage daughter, Astrid, accidentally opens the portal to the Afterlife.”

Starring Catherine O’Hara (Moira Rose herself), Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega, the “wacky, whimsical undead fashions were brought to life by the master costumer Colleen Atwood. Turns out, the macabre can be chic” reports Vogue.

You might also recall Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice and his epic black and white suit. Atwood notes, “it was important…to nod to the first film's iconic costumes—a glam-goth assortment of tulle gowns and punky striped suiting—but make them feel fresh. It was thinking about how we can take it to a different level for today's audience—how can we expand the style, and still pay homage to everything that came before?”
