It’s 'Ofishial.' Sequined Seafood Is Our Newest Obsession

Sometimes art looks good enough to eat.

In the case of British textile artist Kate Jenkins, the life-size, pop-art crochet fish counter and oyster cart debuting this month at London’s Air Contemporary Gallery will make you want to pull up a seat and get down to business.  

Best known for her food-focused treats, Jenkins’ playful, knit and embroidery works of art intertwine her trademark sense of humor with colorful yarns constructed into everything from patisserie pleasures to prawn platters. And with food-inspired fashion dominating right now, Jenkins is right on trend.  

Opening September 20^th, Jenkins’ show, entitled “Fishy Business,” contains an array of knitted, crocheted and sequined seafood delights that has us shellfishly wanting one of everything.
