TikTok and Eventbrite Team Up to Give Creators a Way to Sell Tickets
The collaboration between the two platforms makes it almost too easy to buy and sell tickets to your next event.
The convergence of social media and physical events is nothing new.
Marketers have been using tactics like Facebook events, general social media posts and Instagram’s “remind me” event function button for years to drive their digital audience to purchase tickets and show up to events IRL. Now, the viral sensation of TikTok has entered the chat via an official partnership with Eventbrite, the leader in event ticketing.
Now, any Eventbrite creator or TikTok user can add Eventbrite links directly to their TikTok videos, helping the TikTok community discover event details and purchase tickets without ever leaving the app – a win for both platforms.
Any TikTok user can create an event, promote it and sell tickets directly, which allows both influencers and the everyday creator to reach interested audiences where they are. For instance, #foodtok influencer 1hourlunchbreak could easily activate his audience for a lunch meet-up at one of his favorite LA food trucks or restaurants, or lifestyle influencer Mia Lind of exactlyliketheothergirls could activate her army of young female followers for a signature #hotgirlwalk with a charitable component.
Best of all – any users (the creator or not) can add ticket links to their profile, allowing for widespread and diverse marketing of an event. Brands, take note: promoting your events via your influencer partners on TikTok should be a tactic in your marketing toolbox. Eligible events must be in-person, publicly listed on Eventbrite, have paid tickets and occur within the next 90 days (or 180 days for music events). We'll see ya at the show.
