Sorry, Moo Deng – the internet has a new favorite baby animal.

At nine months old and a whopping 46 pounds, Pesto the baby penguin has charmed millions through his appearances on the SEA LIFE Melbourne aquarium TikTok and Instagram page. Over five million people have watched this King Penguin waddle while his caretakers wiggle and he continues to spark questions, make us smile and inspire people to hit the “share” button on social.

Pesto is big in more ways than one – his portly presence on the SEA LIFE Melbourne Instagram account has helped the aquarium reach a giant 38% engagement rate and acquire over 12,000+ followers in the last month – a feat most brands couldn’t dream of for their social media campaigns. We have no doubt that Pesto will continue to bring enormous joy as he grows up before the internet’s eyes.

To us, however, Pesto isn’t just an internet sensation; he’s a reminder of the cozy, comfy fall and winter season ahead. Milan Fashion Week saw a mix of minky-gray tones (paired with the bag charm trend – of course!), and color authority Essie's Global Lead Educator Rita Remark shared that gray is a top nail polish pick for fall, "When it comes to fall, like leaves, nail color trends tend to desaturate and deepen. Traditional fall colors are cherry reds, navy, deep brown, or grays." In fact, gray is so trendy, it was even the nail polish featured in Teen Vogue's latest all-iPhone-shot spread featuring @kaucasity.
