The Dubai Chocolate Bar Is TikTok’s New Sweet Treat
Fix Dessert Chocolatier’s “Can't Get Khafeh of It” has reached the top of FoodTok.
It seems like there’s a new TikTok food trend taking over every day now, but there’s one recent viral confection that we find particularly sweet.
If your feed is anything like ours, then you’ve undoubtedly seen the “Dubai Chocolate Bar” in all its pistachio cream and shredded phyllo dough (or kataif) glory. Created by Fix Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai, the “Can't Get Khafeh of It” milk chocolate bar first started popping off on FoodTok at the end of last year, including in this post from Dubai influencer @mariavehera, which has received almost 80 million views.
According to People, the viral treat’s creator Sara Hamouda is in awe of how her signature sweet, which run about $18.50 each, has taken off. "When I first started FIX Dessert Chocolatier, I never imagined our chocolate bars would become so popular. It’s been overwhelming in the best possible way. Seeing how much people love them makes me so proud, and I feel so lucky to be part of this journey.”
Of course, with the Dubai chocolate bar’s sudden rise comes an influx of imitators. While Fix currently only delivers locally in Dubai, chocolatiers around the world have started making their own versions to get in on the trend. Business Insider recently taste tested three versions from chocolate shops around New York City, and even with Hamouda dedicating herself to her chocolate company full time after recently quitting her job, we can expect plenty of new takes on the chocolate, pistachio and kataif creation as we get into peak candy season.
